Organic green tea whole leaves 200g
This green tea with its bright green color and smooth taste forms a harmonious and pleasant infusion. You will be amazed by its taste of freshly picked tea leaves. This Sencha tea is rich in antioxidants, polyphenols and flavonoids.
Preparation:
- 1 heaped teaspoon of loose green tea
- Pour over water at 80 ~ 85°C
- Let it steep for 3 minutes
This green tea is recommended for making kombucha. Brewing kombucha requires real tea (tea leaves from the tea plant) for both minerals and nitrogen. The type of tea used to brew Kombucha can affect the health of the SCOBY, as well as the flavor of your final brew.
Tips:
- Don't add boiling water to your green tea. This way you prevent the green tea leaves and the beneficial active substances (antioxidants) from burning. When the temperature is too high, the tea will release more tannin and acquire a bitter taste instead of being sweet.
- Set your timer for 3 minutes for the best taste. Brewing longer makes your tea bitter.
