Equipment for making Kefir or Kombucha. Supplies you will need to gather before to start culturing. If to start making yogurt, a Digital Food Thermometer is necessary to monitor the temperature. If you start making milk of water kefir you can use a reusable Temperature Indicating Strip, the strip is easy to read and unbreakable. Just put the strip on the outside of your culturing jar. Other kitchen utensils you'll may need to have or buy, in order to start to make kefir or kombucha are : plastic spatula or spoon, plastic sieve or mesh strainer, a bowl, a culturing container and a cover for the container. Avoid metal utensils when making kefir, stainless steel is acceptable, some metals can damage the kefir grains.
