Plastic strainers
Plastic strainers
Plastic strainers are very convenient to use. Especially if you make milk kefir and/or water kefir. When the kefir is ready, the next step is to separate the kefir from the kefir grains, you will eventually want to reuse the kefir grains. The best way to separate the grains from the kefir drink is to pour the kefir through a strainer. Do not use a metal strainer. The best option is undoubtedly a fine-mesh plastic strainer or nylon sieve. While a plastic strainer is a preferred method, rubber or even wooden sieves are equally suitable for sieving your kefir grains. Just make sure to rinse the strainer well with water between uses. I can recommend providing its own bulb sieve for each culture. You can use a fine-mesh ball sieve to make milk kefir, water kefir or kombucha. You can also use a fine-mesh strainer as a tea strainer. Beware of cross-contamination. Therefore, again use separate screens for each culture you have in your home. You can buy the best plastic strainers from us.
