Product Information :

Ingredients: Live reusable milk kefir grains: to make milk kefir based on milk.

Packing and Shipping: The kefir grains are packaged in food-safe packaging. The kefir grains are shipped in a sturdy bubble wrap envelope, delivered with detailed instructions. We ship preferably on Monday or Tuesday, as we wish to ensure that your order will not get stuck in a postal depot during the weekend. Kefir is a fresh product. After receiving, the kefir, grains must be processed as soon as possible following supplied instructions. It may be that the kefir grains need a few days to recover from the period of inactivity. But we rarely experience symptoms, even if sent abroad within Europe. We ship from The Netherlands or Belgium. We recommend reviewing the first kefir preparation for flavor and texture. If you are having trouble making kefir, please get in touch with us; we're glad to help you.

Features: Our reusable milk kefir grains are grown on the milk of animal origin; milk contains lactose. The living milk kefir grains will grow if provided with proper care. Kefir grains may double in 3 to 4 weeks, depending on the season, type of milk, and temperature. Kefir can be made of any milk: cow's milk, goat's milk, and sheep's milk, or with vegetable milk such as coconut, rice, or soya. Please note that the use of milk kefir grains with vegetable milk can be more difficult. We refer to our FQA's. Best use milk at room temperature; using milk straight from the refrigerator is possible. The overall ratio of milk kefir grains to milk is 1 to 10 parts, and this is just a guideline. So, for 20 grams of kefir grains, use 200ml milk. Experiment with the ratio of milk to kefir grains. The ratio will influence the texture and taste of the kefir. Also, if you bought more or fewer kefir grains than indicated in the enclosed instructions, you can quickly determine the right amount of milk. In the summer, you may use more milk, a ratio such as 1 to 15.

Time and temperature are the two main factors that affect the taste and texture of kefir. During the warm summer months, the beverage can be ready in 16 hours. If the kefir is over fermented, the kefir will initially be thick and eventually separate into curds and whey. During the winter months, it will take longer before the kefir is ready. If you are a beginner in making kefir, regularly taste during the fermentation to determine when the flavor is best for you. Homemade kefir beverages can be kept in the refrigerator for about 1 week.

Many health benefits are attributed to drinking kefir. Kefir is easy to digest, and it cleanses the intestines, provides beneficial bacteria and yeast, vitamins and minerals, and complete proteins. Milk kefir is full of probiotics and is superior to yogurt. Homemade kefir contains more probiotics than any fermented milk product. Kefir contains calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, vitamin B1, B12, and vitamin K. The regular use of kefir can assist in alleviating most intestinal disorders. Milk kefir is also ideal to use after a course of antibiotics to quickly restore intestinal flora. Making kefir at home is easy and inexpensive. It's cheaper because your kefir grains should only be bought once. It's easy to make kefir, pour milk onto the kefir grains and wait, get a daily fresh portion of probiotics. Fresh kefir is far better than commercially made kefir.
