Stirring spoons are useful when making kefir, yogurt and kombucha. If you have put the milk kefir grains in a sieve, a good stirring spoon can help to lightly squeeze the kefir flowers. With water kefir you can stir the preparation in the meantime to ensure that all water kefir grains get enough nutrients. When making kombucha you can stir the tea with a spoon to dissolve the sugar. These are just a few examples of where and when you can use a stirring spoon. Make sure you have enough stirring spoons at home. It is best to use a different stirring spoon for each type of culture, to prevent cross-contamination.
